Sales were up by 25% in May 2019 compared to last year.

A total of 489 real properties were sold during the month of May in the Greater Moncton and the south-east region of N.B. This represents a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. So far this year, a total of 1,465 properties have been reported sold at the MLS Board, a 12% increase in the number of sold properties, but more significantly a 17% increase in total property dollar value.

The area continues to see a reduction of active properties for sale, there were 2,928 properties for sale at the end of May this year. A total of 772 new listings were recorded at the MLS® Board in April which represent a slight increase of 4%. Year to date, the number of new active listings is down by 3% for the same period.

The list to sale ratio for the month of May was at 69% and 61% year to date, which constitute a balanced market.
